Centralising the Comics

I'm going to start putting all the comics up at my main website. It has better gallery and image functionality, whereas blogger is quite awkward to navigate.

This is the home page, where I'll be posting pages as and when I do them.

And this is the gallery page. They're all in here, and are going to be as I do them.

This just makes more sense really.

PvC: 47, J&L 28

I actually really like this page. Came out pretty well.

Coincidentally, this is my 50th post (but only my 47th page...)

Thursday 30 September 2010

PvC 45: J&L 26

It's a couple days late, I know. I don't know why I forgot to upload it, but forget I did. It's odd, I actually kinda like how this page turned out. Well, whatever.

PvC 44: Jim and Luc 25

I forgot to do a page last week. Whatever, this is this week's.

Callback, btw.

Tuesday 7 September 2010

PvC 43: Jim and Luc 24

Here's a page, it's up late today because I totally forgot I'd done it. I'm sharp I am.

Tuesday 17 August 2010

PvC 40: Jim and Luc 21

Sorry it's up late today (although at least it's the right day) but I was out all day in London.

Enjoy though.

PvC 39: Jim and Luc 20

(click to fullscreen)

It's late or something. Whatever.

PvC 37: Jim and Luc 18

So, yeah, I almost forgot to upload this today.

I really am special.

Tuesday 6 July 2010

PvC 36: Jim and Luc 17

It's a couple of weeks late, but screw it.

Tuesday 15 June 2010

PvC 35: Jim And Lucien 16

So here it is, the final page of chapter 1 of Jim and Lucien.

Bit of a cliffhanger. Don't worry, I'm sure the resolution is mundane and uninspiring.

I haven't decided yet whether I'm going to jump straight into part 2 next week or do something else so as to break it up a bit.

Also, I've started tagging all the jim and luc posts so you can just click the tag and it'll show you all of the pages so far so you can read straight through. I'm probably going to sort out some sort of download with them all compiled though, for my benefit more than anything probably.

PvC 34: Jim and Luc 15

(as always, click to enlarge)

That last panel was a pain in the arse.

Just saying.

Tuesday 1 June 2010

PvC 33: Jim and Luc 14

(click to full screen image)

Well what's this desert land all about?

Tuesday 25 May 2010

PvC 32: Jim and Luc 13

(click thumbnail to enlarge in new tab/window)

I think I ought to say up front, that I imagined each chapter/part or 'issue' as it were of Jim and Lucien would be about 16 pages long.

16 pages gives you enough room to tell a story, but provides a challenge of economy. Can you tell a complete story in 16 pages? Yes of course, but it isn't easy. Now I'm trying to tell a complete story in this time frame, just pieces of one, but it's a fun challenge trying to set it up so that individual parts stand out as being 'about something/someone in particular' but work together as a whole.

I only say this, because at page 13, I'm nearing the end of the first part of Jim and Luc and I didn't want to spring what might seem initially like arbitary divisions on people.

Anyway. Enjoy. I guess.

PvC 31: Jim and Luc 12

Alright, I think this page isn't too bad. At least, it looks good as a thumbnail.

A little commentary, in case I don't get a chance to put it in, I reckon Lucien's eating what he would call a 'Millennial Ploughman's'. That's Frazzles and Dairylea spread.

PVC 30: Jim and Luc 11

I love that I'm 11 pages into this, and I still don't know what I'm doing.

Tuesday 20 April 2010

28 - Gotta Trap em All

This week, most of the people I know have been imprisoning wild animals. Which is pretty strange.

Tuesday 13 April 2010

Number 27: Persona!

I've been playing Persona 3: FES for the last week or so. To explain it would take up more space and time than I care to use, but suffice to say, it's really weird.

Tuesday 30 March 2010

PVC 26: Jim and Luc 10

Click thumbnail to enlarge.

It's up late today. Not because I was late doing it, I just plum forgot to upload it.

Whatever.

Tuesday 23 March 2010

Tuesday 16 March 2010

Comic 24: FFXIII killed me (in the game)

Sorry I didn't do a comic in the last couple of weeks, I really wasn't sure what direction this was going in. I'm still not, but I thought that this was a funny enough idea.

Tuesday 23 February 2010

This Week Mattew, I'm Going To Half-Ass It

I kinda did this one last minute. It doesnt help that I'm still struggling with my Wacom. I still don't feel that comfortable with it.

Tuesday 16 February 2010

22: Jim & Luc 8

I drew this on my new monitor. But because it's sort of at the side of me rather than directly in front of me, drawing on it seemed kind of awkward.

This page isnt too bad, but no shading as it took too long to get the lines down.

Tuesday 9 February 2010

21: Well, That's What My Shepherd Looked Like

(as always, click to enlarge)

Well I've been busy playing Mass Effect 2, and Valentine's Day was coming up, so I thought I'd make a joke about the two.

I'll let you know when I make it.

Tuesday 26 January 2010

PvC: 20 It's a Pun, I Swear

Just think about it.

What kills vampires?

Tuesday 19 January 2010

PvC: 19 Jim and Luc 7

(As always click to enlarge)

Hey there folks. It's up on time today, but only just as I decided to redraw it sort of last minute. It looked really bad but this one's better (but not by much haha).

Tuesday 12 January 2010

PVC: 18 Jim and Luc 6

As always, click to enlarge.

Tuesday 5 January 2010

PVC: 17 Jim and Luc 5

I'm retroactively calling the Christmas Cartoon as PvC 16. This might have something to do with a photoshop document called 'comic16' already having existed on my harddrive and confused me into thinking I was one ahead.

I didn't do the shading effect this week. Frankly it was killing me. This week however, you will understand how it makes all the difference to the lineart.
